Affiliation

St. Peter’s is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, a global community of more than 70 million Christians. Although our membership in the United States is small, the Anglican Church is the largest Protestant denomination in the world. It dates back to the 16th century when it began as the Church of England.

We’re also part of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), a group of more than 900 Anglican churches in the U.S. and Canada. Our spiritual leader is Archbishop Robert W. Duncan.

In addition, each church in ACNA is part of a smaller body called a diocese, which is headed by a bishop. St. Peter’s is in the Anglican Diocese of the South under Bishop Foley Beach.
